Although too soft to be used as the primary metal in most jewelry, Fine silver plating adds luster, a whiter, brighter finish and slight reduction in tarnishing. The Fine silver plating on this chain will last for years under most circumstances. Eventually, like all plating, the Fine silver will wear away revealing the sterling silver that gives this chain its durability.
