Care of Leather Jewelry
A little care will ensure your leather jewelry lasts for years.
As with all fine leathers, we suggest a light coating of Pecard Leather Dressing every six months to help maintain the appearance and condition of the jewelry. The Pecard Leather Dressing will protect the leather from oxidation, chemical damage, internal chafing and abrasion.
Sterling silver fittings can be cleaned with any silver polish, being careful to avoid exposing the leather to the polish.
Leather jewelry should not be worn in the shower, while swimming or any other activity that soaks the leather. Such exposure removes the essential oils, causing the leather to dry out and become brittle. If your leather jewelry does become wet, pat dry then leave to air dry without additional heat. Once dry, apply a leather conditioner such as Pecard Leather Dressing.
