Good news! This week negotiations with our landlord were successful and we have extended our lease through May 2026. We will be open and bringing you our great selection of products through 2025. The added year will give us time to optimize and adjust to the changing landscape of retail.

Dear Customers and Community,
In the more than 60 years we’ve been in operation, we’ve experienced a lot of different things. We’ve seen many suppliers come and go, and we’ve occupied at least five buildings over the years if you don’t count the house on Queen Anne Hill in Seattle where David and Dorothy first started the business. Through the years and from the various places we’ve brought our valued customers together with unique quality items of good value.
It feels to me like the need to change has never been greater. Our largest supplier Akubra was recently purchased, and our partnership is changing at a time when we’ve been asked for a large rent increase. Our lease is up soon. We import a lot of the things we sell. Federal tariffs have increased and may increase more. There is so much uncertainty that we’ve reluctantly decided not to print and mail a catalog this spring.
We are well stocked and are holding most prices for now. We are happy to take your orders over the phone 9 am to 5 pm Pacific Time, Monday through Friday. Our website is always on duty.
We are clearing out our warehouse after 38 years in Bothell, including a unique selection of one-of-a-kind items.
We should like to find a new home for David’s extensive whip and leather goods collection. We are also documenting towards sale a collection of hat making equipment, sewing machines and a hat blocking machine, as well as over 700 hat blocks that were previously owned and used by Churchill Hatters of Seattle from around 1925 to 1975.
If you are interested in purchasing these unique collections or know someone who might be please let me know!
We will be selling miscellaneous odds and ends collected over the years of our existence in a new eBay store, coming soon.
Leasing is hard in times of inflation. If you own a suitable 3000 – 6000 square foot building that you’d like to lease to us or sell, please let me know.
Thank you,
Will

President Trump has imposed tariffs of 25% on goods imported from Canada and Mexico. These tariffs will affect the products we offer from Stanfield’s, J.B. Field’s Socks, Boma & Panabo and Tilley. We are holding our prices at this time but will need to pass on the full tariff cost to you, our customers, when we restock.
